Today’s Writing Prompt: Write About A Summertime Memory

Summertime is finally here. It’s time for vacations and relaxation. Or… just hotter weather?

A couple of days ago we wrote a summertime scene based on a painting. Now let’s get nostalgic or creative and write about a summertime memory we have, whether it’s real or imagined.

The truth is that all children and young adults aren’t able to go to expensive summer camps and take luxurious intercontinental vacations. Most of us probably had to get summertime jobs when we were younger, or were bouncing around from place to place as our guardians or parents worked, and we didn’t actually get that much time with our families or friends because most people had to work.

However, when we’re younger almost anything can be fun during the summertime. Even if you didn’t get that dream vacation you always wanted when you were younger, it’s likely that you have at least one fond summertime memory to reflect on and write about.

If you don’t have any fond summertime memories, then create one to write about. Write about a memory you wish you had that took place during summertime. Or create a memory this summer that you want to write about.
