Write about someone who comes across a mysterious journal in an unusual place. What’s in the journal? Who finds it?

Lydia took a deep breath as she stood in the middle of the kitchen, taking it all in before everyone else arrived for the dinner shift. The stainless-steel appliances glistened under the fluorescent lighting and all the equipment and utensils were neatly ordered and stored, relaxing her nerves. She was in a state of awe as she looked around, allowing herself to accept that she was the head chef here now. Although she wasn’t surprised because of how hard she had worked to get here, she was still getting used to this feeling of accomplishment.
When she heard a clanking noise behind her, Lydia turned around and saw metal tongs on the ground behind her near the ovens. She bent down to pick them up and noticed a leather-bound journal sitting on the bottom shelf of the prep station and shuddered. She quickly grabbed it, stood straight up, and turned to the first page, to verify. And there it was, a list with crossed-out names of previous chefs of the restaurant on it. Lydia gasped. It was her journal. And now someone was onto her. Someone out there knew what she had done.
