(more…)Whether you’re a fan of Donald Trump or not, you can’t deny the historic significance of his indictment and arrest on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. It’s not every day that you see a sitting or former U.S. president arrested. And there’s a lot to process when considering his arrest, but also not, at the same time. Simply put, in the U.S., no one is above the law. Although, U.S. law is constantly evolving in a more equitable and logical direction, or should be, if it’s to stand the test of time.

(more…)There’s this coffee mug I often use that has the phrase “The road to success is under construction” transcribed on it in bold type. I appreciate this transcription because it reminds me to keep thinking of writing as a journey, not a destination. Yeah, it’s a hokey phrase. But nevertheless, it forces me to continually ask myself, “When will you feel ‘successful’ as a writer?” And the answer is always: “today, as long as you write something.” Read on to see why that should always be your answer to that same question too.
