After working on this week’s writing prompt throughout the week, I realized that the best way for me to understand what is stressing me out is to write about it. And to continue to write about it.

On Tuesday, I wrote about what is stressing me out. The current state of the world is what is stressing me out right now. Sometimes the stress of the world seems overwhelming because it influences everyday life and everyday decisions. Yet at the same time, such a stressor seems ridiculous because it’s so incredibly vague and large, and it’s difficult to see the ways in which it manifests itself into everyday life.

On Wednesday, I sought out and shared some advice and quotes to help reduce stress, which ultimately helped me gain some much-needed perspective about what’s stressing me out— this weight of the current state of the world. And realizing that I am the entire ocean in a drop and not just a drop in the ocean, was exactly the perspective shift I needed right now.

In yesterday’s post, I uncovered what I can and will do to deal with what’s stressing me out. I can focus on writing blog posts every day about topics that are meaningful and purposeful, to me and other writers and thinkers, and ultimately the world. And such daily intentional practice will culminate into purposeful action. Especially if writers like you join me. The more people writing with a purpose and for a purpose, the better.

Through writing the posts I wrote this week, I ultimately reconfirmed in my mind what I have realized more intuitively all along. The most important thing that I can do to deal with what’s stressing me out right now is to continue to write blog posts for this blog that are purpose-driven and intentional, every day.

For me, the best way to destress every day is to write intentionally about what matters. What about you?
